Music Dude sneak peek
Who are the seven greatest hiphop producers of the modern era (1993-now)? I started thinking about this early last week and then this happened. Jay Dee dying was traumatic for me on so many levels.
Don't have time to get into all this, but expect a novel-blog before the end of the week.
and for all hip hoppers, I'm taking nominations via email, txt msg or blog comment.

There are several things that you would have to take into consideration, as far as who would make the cut after primo, peter, RZA, and Dre they are top four hands down I know twist would argue Peter for #1, but I will leave it at that for now and wait for Vinny to do the blog to argue.
5-7 can be debated heavily, you have 9th, Dilla, Neptunes, Organized Noise, Havoc, Kanye, and ?uestlove.
Then you can also throw in Swizz, and Timbo.
My money for that last 3...Neptunes, ?uestlove and I would have to unfortunately say Kanye takes the last one over Dilla, due to Kanye's commercial success.

Dilla pioneered and really created a completely new sound which would mean that he is over kayne convincingly because kayne just revived and reinstated a sound that had been established and mastered by the rza. We wouldn't dare say kanye was over the rza would we?

I'm not done with this producer subject but very quickly i've been doing some JD revists. Please everybody go back and listen to Welcome back to detroit. Pure genius. like how he did think twice before Badu and my opinon he did it better. more coming.
